Many people who were exposed to financial lack and insufficiency always believe that gaining and keeping wealth is an enigma. They believe that wealth is only for the 'lucky few'. Personally, I believe that there is no such thing as luck. However, there is such a thing as synchronicity or good timing. Synchronicity is not the only thing which is needed to create and access wealth--you also need preparation and opportunity. Opportunity will always present itself but it will be wasted if there is no adequate preparation. You need to be prepared mentally for wealth before you can handle or manage it. If you are not mentally prepared for wealth, when you do have the opportunity to receive wealth, you will squander and mismanage it. This explains why many lottery winners lose all their winnings in a short-period of time. This is because they were not mentally conditioned to deal with the wealth. Here are some ways to mentally prepare and condition yourself for wealth:

  • Change your mindset/consciousness about financial prosperity. You need to re-evaluate and re-assess your attitude towards wealth and people who have wealth. If you perceive wealth and wealthy people negatively then you will subconsciously sabotage every effort to receive and keep wealth. When you have a positive attitude towards wealth then you are probably aligning your consciousness with receiving and keeping wealth.

  • Liberate your consciousness to see the abundance that is within the universe. You need to recognize the abundance within the universe in order to release a limited and constricted mindset towards money, and accept an abundance consciousness. When your mind and spirit expands, you are able to receive the abundance that the universe has for you.
  • Have
a generous mindset when handling money
. If you feel tense and anxious when you give away money, this means you have a scarcity mindset. When you are generous with money then it comes back to you with the same measure. If you give abundantly, you will receive abundantly. If you give in scarcity, then you will receive in scarcity.
  • You need to have a specific focus or intent for the money you plan to earn. Money or wealth needs to be focused on a specific intent or purpose so that it can be managed properly. Define what is the ultimate aim for having wealth. Is it to be able to give substantial amounts of money to charity? Is it to be able to be permanently out of debt? Is it to be able to travel and vacation extensively? Is it to ensure that your family lives comfortably? Do you want to be able to leave an inheritance for your children? The sooner you evaluate what your ultimate aim or purpose for your wealth is, the easier it will be to systematically and strategically manage your wealth based on it.
  • You need to have a desire to create and grow wealth. You need to have a heart-felt desire in order to subconsciously attract something into your life. If you really do not have the desire to be wealthy, you will thwart every opportunity to acquire and grow wealth. Many people believe that they want to be rich but deeper analysis of their thinking process reveals that they have self-limiting beliefs that prevent them from having the desire to create and grow wealth. When these beliefs are effectively dealt with then the task of attracting and creating wealth becomes easier.
  • You need to have a persevering attitude when creating and growing wealth. Attracting wealth requires a persistent and determined attitude since there will be many obstacles which will impede your progress toward success. Therefore, it is necessary to block out any negative thought and allow your mind to mentally focus on the achievement of creating and growing wealth.
