Everybody loves lists. Top ten horror movies, top ten sci-fi novels and so on. So I thought I would compile my own list and bring you the top 10 reasons to be happy. No matter how great we may feel right now there always seems to be that moment when we say "why am I bothering?" or perhaps we are so down that we cannot see any reason to be happy in the first place. If this is the case then I do hope that this list will uplift and inspire you and put you back on track. The list elements are not necessarily in order of preference and happiness will also include other elements such as creativity and life purpose. These are just ten of the many reasons why one should stay happy and positive.
So here is my top ten list of reasons to stay happy, with a brief discussion after each one.
1) Being happy is what you are designed to be.
Happiness is your natural state and when you are not happy you are very simply unaligned to your true self. Realignment puts you back to this natural state of happiness.
2) Personal power
You have within you an immense source of personal power that can literally move mountains. You are connected to this source at all times no matter how dark life my seem. Simply remember this connection.
3) You are not alone.
I do not mean this in a "there are other people in the same boat" sense. You are not alone because you are connected to the fabric of the universe at all times and in all situations. This should bring much comfort.
4) Your way of thinking will reflect in your environment.
This may be a scary notion but it does bring much relief. If your life is not going the way you want it to then start changing your thinking. You have the power NOW to change your life.
5) You have a Source.
You did not create yourself. There is a source of energy and life and power that surges through you at all times and it knows you very well and it loves you dearly. Ask of it and you will receive.
6) And this too shall pass.
There will be a time, no matter what the form of pain or suffering you are
experiencing, when you will be free. It can be now if you choose but it is inevitable that the suffering will end.
7) There is far more good in the world than bad.
The news channels and newspapers all bring a daily tale of immense suffering and highlight the horrific events that are going on at the moment. That is their job. However there is so much good that is going on in the world that goes unreported. Seek it out and focus on this positivity and watch the rest fall away.
8) There is no independent source of evil.
Yes there is evil in the world and of course there are evil and atrocious acts that are committed on this planet, yet this comes from the choice of the human being to act in this way. There is not, has never been and never will be and independent evil force that guides mankind to act in this manner. It is simply choice which means we can choose to act in a different way. It really is that simple.
9) You have a purpose.
You are not here out of accident and you are not here as an experiment by some external force who wishes to see how you behave. You are here for your own growth and to experience happiness and abundance right here and right now. The specifics of how that will manifest for you will be revealed if you open to this idea and allow the universe to flow into you and through you. You have a very definite purpose.
10) Without you we would be nowhere.
You are so much more than a pawn in someone else's life. You are so much more than an after thought while the rest of the world seems to be getting on with things. You are a vital and important being that makes all of this worthwhile. Without you the universe would have a missing piece and therefore be not whole. That would be impossible which shows how important and how very necessary you are to the very existence of life itself. In the end this is all about you and what you can achieve through your creativity, strength and your very essence. We could not do this without you, that is how important you are.
So here are your top ten reasons to be happy. Please use them.
